  4. I absolutely agree. The perpetrator has etched the result of his actions in his own life diary. He cannot escape it. Forgiveness is not to forget. But to move on without rancour. It frees oneself, not the other.
    An excellent post

I agree wholeheartedly. And I believe that eventually, Karma does catch up with those people. It has with many of the people who put me through the ringer.

    1. Yeah, I hope it does. Venegance is definitely nowhere near the top of my wishlist, but I guess if that’s what it boils to in the end, then so be it.

I agree. I’m by no means a vengeful nor vindictive person. I just go one living my life the best I can and leave everything else up to God. Wishing you many blessings! 😊

We shall all be held accountable for all we have done in this life, when we stand before our God in heaven. He alone is the righteous Judge.

    1. That’s true, indeed. The day of reckoning will come, and it will come for us all.

  9. We were having a conversation about this subject recently with regard to religions. The emphasis seems to be on God’s forgiveness rather than on restitution. We feel that the offender should do everything possible to restore the loss they have caused.

    1. Yeah, that’s perfectly true.

Sometimes we expect that God will just forgive us without us actually doing anything. His laws are applicable unequivocally on each and everyone of us however, and no matter how good we are, we will have to pay the price for the sins we commit.

Thank you for posting your valuable feedback!

  10. The advice columnist used to say “time wounds all heels.” Which was her way of saying that people don’t “get away with” the wrongs they’ve done. The Bible puts it this way: “Do not be deceived; God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” (Galatians 6:7)

    1. Yes indeed. Thank you so much for your valuable feedback and the reference from Bible. It’s indeed rewarding as well as comforting for me to read and come across a line from the holy scriptures.

Interesting wordplay by the columnist, BTW… She seems witty and smart.
