Irony

Hey everyone!

(⚠️ Ramble alert :- The ‘real’ post lies in the form of an image at the very end of this post. The rest is just information about the format and my personal patented form of blabber. Choose wisely.)

Welcome to my first ever attempt at a brand new format of creative writing called ‘140’

What is ‘140’?

For those of you who don’t know 140 is a form of literature that requires you to express yourself in just under 140 characters.

Yup. You got that right.

Not words.

And definitely not sentences.

Just characters. That includes space, punctuation marks, bleh & blah.

So, naturally, it really doesn’t allow a writer to just go on & on &…

(In short, this format is meant to discipline writers like me. Because, I have OBVIOUSLY exceeded 140 characters a LONG time ago.)

You got it. Right?

But then, why only 140? Why not 100? or 150?

Well, this very question struck me when I first heard about this format. And,like everyone else, I decided to Google about it.

The results I obtained were very interesting…

The numerology energy represented by the number 140 resonates with expression of a personal sense of freedom and self‑reliance.

There is a resonance of independence, curiosity, and wit. Interspersed through and among those vibrations, is a focus on building for the future. And there is a sense of wholeness and comprehensiveness.

The 140 energy resonates with broad vistas of potential. Where others might see a desert, 140 sees potential and opportunities for adventure and doing whatever its self-determination indicates — without interference from others.

You can read the complete article on the link provided above, but I hope you get the gist by the summary I have written here.

That’s probably why this format came into being.

Not that I believe in numerology, but I found this format genuinely interesting especially seeing that it resonates with today’s fast & furious world where people hardly have time for loooong rambles.

(Like this one right here)

And hence I decided to experiment with this format when I opened an account on terribly tiny tales or ‘ttt’ as it’s fondly known.

Hope you guys like it!

Am all ears for any kind of honest feedback! 😁

Until next time!

  3. I have never heard of 140 and I like your response with the pen and desk with the squirrel trying to get the words out. You may have to climb that tree and seek some nutzzz for inspiration. BTW: I still see my goof of a reply with that old lady… seems fitting to me tho for some reason.

Yeah, I guess that’s because I responded to your comment before I deleted it. So that’s kinda a bug in their website. Wait. I’ll delete the whole thread from the admin page. Tell me when you can’t see the old lady anymore! 😂😊

  6. So funny, I can’t see it anymore. I think using the phone for replying is a no no from now on. My brother was calling me an old lady and I was replying to his message: “I am, tell me something I don’t know” and that came up on split-screen. Phone no more. I promise! 🙂

Why? I ALWAYS use my phone for blogging. I have never known using WordPress on any other platform😅 Guess you should just avoid using WordPress while talking to your brother then! 😂

😅 I don’t know whether it’s anything to be proud of. Using the phone is purely a matter of convenience. I rather think that people who use a laptop/PC for this are professionals and people like me are purely hobbyists. ‘cuz blogging doesn’t mean enough to us to actually buy a laptop…

I am only 23 BTW, so I am looking forward for inspirations to be my role models myself. Got a long way to go! 😂

  16. You know I was squinting my eyes at the topmost image to read what’s there and after a full 1 vain minute I read that real post is at the end! 😂

I liked the mini story and could connect it in this way:
How these days people just flaunt some thoughts and advice without having complete knowledge about it. They haven’t themselves experience that ever but urge others. The biggest is example is what’s app status of a wicked man displaying moral thoughts!

Moreover, I liked this concept of 140 but wouldn’t have been more interesting and challenging if one had to stick to 140 characters exact! 🤣 What do you think?

    Liked by 2 people

    1. The Pensieve says:

😂😂 Really? I actually had done my best to hide the text on that image! ‘cuz I couldn’t take a screenshot of that background by itself.

Yeah, you have derived the perfect conclusion from the story. It’s a depiction of the disgusting behaviour of people who never get their hands dirty yet somehow expect others to do the same for their own selfish, malignant purposes.

I guess 140 characters only would indeed make it a lot more interesting. But it would also make it that much more difficult😅

Thank you so much for your feedback!

How are you BTW? I hope you are doing well! 😊✌️
